Brian A. Stephenson, PE, CCM

Brian has over thirty-five years of experience in structural engineering design, analysis, and construction management for the built-environment. He is Engineer-of-Record for a wide array of civil/structural engineering projects including: hospitals, industrial facilities, K-12 schools, research laboratories, performance spaces, waterfront structures, churches, university facilities, elderly housing, multi-family housing, water and waste water facilities, land development, roads, and bridges.  Other work includes structural engineering consultation to contractors.

Brian is a long-time advocate of sustainable design practices, appropriate technology in development and alternative, environmentally-friendly construction materials.  He serves as a professional mentor for Engineers Without Borders/USA and is an organizer/committee member for the International Network on Appropriate Technology. Other interests include biomimicry in structural engineering.  He is a lecturer in structural engineering at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. 

Professional Engineer Registrations include: Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Colorado, Texas, and the District of Columbia.
